Hotel Policies
What time is check-in at the hotel? Is early check-in possible?
Check-in at the hotel is at 4 p.m. We are happy to provide an earlier check-in, if your room is available.
What time is checkout at the hotel? Is late checkout possible?
Checkout at the hotel is at 12 p.m. Late checkout is possible for a fee of:
- Complimentary until 1pm **upon availability**

Does Catbird offer Apple Pay and Google Pay?
Unfortunately, Catbird Hotel does not accept Apple or Google Pay as a valid payment method.
Is there an age minimum for check-in?
The minimum age for check-in at the hotel is 18.
What is the hotel’s cancellation policy?
Different rates and packages have specific cancellation policies, so remember to read the terms of your booking carefully.
Flexible Rates:
There is no charge for cancellations made by 3pm, 2 days prior to your reservation date. You will be charged one night’s room and tax if you cancel less than 48 hours prior to your reservation, or if you do not show up.
“Book Early and Save” and Non-Refundable bookings:
These reservations naturally are non-refundable. Payment is collected at the time of booking. We may be able to accommodate date changes based on availability.
Stay Longer and Save (7+ nights):
There is no charge for cancellations made by 3pm, 3 days prior to your reservation date. You will be charged three night’s room and tax if you cancel less than 3 days prior to your reservation, or if you do not show up.
Stay 21+ Nights and Save More:
There is no charge for cancellations made by 3pm, 7 days prior to your reservation date. You will be charged seven night’s room and tax if you cancel less than 7 days prior to your reservation, or if you do not show up.
Are pets welcome at the hotel? What facilities and services are available for pets?
Dogs are always welcome at the hotel. We charge a one-time fee of $75, no breed or weight restrictions. Dogs receive a Welcome Pet Amenity, bed and bowls available upon request. Portions of fee is donated to Max Fund Animal Adoption Center. However, we do not charge for dogs under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), we accept service animals defined as a dog that has been individually trained to do work or perform tasks for an individual with a disability. The task(s) performed by the dog must be directly related to the person’s disability. This does not apply to emotional support, therapy, comfort, or companion animals because they have not been trained to perform a specific job or task, and therefore do not qualify as service animals under the ADA.
Please note, that despite our name Catbird, we ONLY accept dogs, no other pets are permitted at Catbird.
$75/month pet fee for monthly guests as well. If the room is damaged or needs professional cleaning, we will charge an additional $500 fee for these services.
If a guest brings any pet outside of a dog, a $500 cleaning fee will be automatically added to your bill, and you will be asked to depart the property.
Is smoking allowed at the hotel?
Smoking is not allowed in the building, but there are designated smoking areas outside. The entire property is 100% non-smoking; $500 fee will be applied if any evidence of smoking or vaping is detected. This includes cigarettes, THC, Vapes, cigars, etc. ALL forms of smoking are prohibited.
Does Catbird have hot tubs?
Yes, we have 2 hot tubs on our rooftop. Guests of Catbird are welcome to enjoy the hot tubs.
- Unless otherwise noted, the hot tubs are open 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. We have QR Codes in the elevators, please scan these to see the current schedule.
- Catbird does not offer robes or slippers. Please plan accordingly.
- Shirt and Shoes are required anywhere outside the hot tub area.
- No outside food, beverage, or coolers are permitted on the rooftop. The Catbird Kitchen or The Red Barber are always available to purchase beverages and snacks.
- We have towels available at the hot tubs.

What is the hotel policy on firearms?
Colorado is an open carry state allowing firearms to be carried openly. Denver, however, does not allow open carry but honors legal concealed carry for appropriately licensed citizens. We follow the same as Denver and do not allow any open carry-on property. Hotel guests who conceal carry must follow all local laws and store the firearm safely when in their rooms.
Facilities and Services
How do I check in?
Catbird uses self check in kiosks for guest arrivals. The kiosks let you check in, print room keys, and check out.
Catbird team members are always in the lobby and happy to answer any questions you may have.
What is your housekeeping policy?
Catbird offers stayover cleaning service once a week (every 7 days).
*Guests staying 21+ nights or monthly will not receive housekeeping service. Cleaning services can be purchased for $95/per cleaning (Monday-Thursday between 8am-4pm).
Things to make your stay more enjoyable:
- Your room has a dishwasher and dish detergent is provided in the cupboard next to your stove.
- Each guest floor features a dedicated trash room located next to the water station, which contains a trash chute and a recycling bin. We kindly encourage our guests to utilize these amenities for their convenience.
- Laundry facilities are just down the hall, use of equipment and supplies are included in your stay...no card to load or bag of change needed.
- If you need fresh towels or replenishment of any items in your room, just dial 0 on your phone and member of our team will deliver them to your door.
Does the Catbird offer parking?
Catbird does not offer complimentary parking to guests. We highly recommend our valet parking or self-parking options. Street parking is available in the neighborhood at your own risk.
Valet parking is available to all guests and includes: unlimited in/out privileges, covered parking, front drive service.
Daily Parking/per vehicle:
- Daily Parking (0-12 hours) $20 per vehicle
- Overnight Parking (12-24 hours) $52 per night per vehicle
- Monthly Valet Parking $350/month per vehicle
Hotel Guest Self-Parking at Industry Garage: - $34 (in/out privileges) - see valet or front desk for your QR code/per vehicle
*Guests of The Red Barber will be charged $15 for valet, with a validated ticket.
*Overnight Parking: $52/per night. We do not have a Valet attendant 11pm-6am. Please let valet and/or front desk know if you will need access to your vehicle during these hours and they will have your vehicle accessible on the driveway. Front desk will have access to your keys and able to assist you to your vehicle.
*We do not have parking for RV's, buses, or any other oversized vehicles.
*Our parking garage has an 8'3" clearance.
*EV chargers available at the Industry parking garage. Guest must self-park. Valet will not plug in your vehicle.
**Street parking and self-parking options are available in the neighborhood.
Is public transportation accessible from the hotel?
There are many public transportation options near the hotel.
Lyft and Uber are easily accessible, frequent stops and pickups in the RiNo neighborhood.
The RTD A-line train drops off at the 38th and Blake Station, which is a 4-minute walk from the station off of Downing and Walnut Street.
RTD Bus Route 12, drops one-block from the hotel at 37th and North Marion Street.
Is the hotel ADA accessible? What accessible features are offered at the hotel?
We offer accessible rooms that meet disability design standards; compliant with ADA guidelines. To reserve an accessible room, please book on our website or call the hotel directly at 720-990-5555. You can find more information on our Accessibility page.
Are children welcome at the hotel? What facilities and services are available for children?
Children are always welcome at the hotel, and are encouraged to be accompanied with an adult 21 years and older. Catbird offers many family-fun activities with gear from The Playroom to play in and explore the RiNo neighborhood. Please select The Playroom tab from Our Story section of our website for a full list of gear, and reserve your favorite items today.
Can I receive mail and packages at the hotel?
We gladly accept mail and store packages on your behalf in our Locker and Storage system located on the driveway next to the fitness center. This is accessible 24/7 with your room key. Please speak to the concierge for more information or assistance.
Guests staying 30+ days, please speak with the front desk about setting you up with a mailbox registered with the USPS. Advanced notice is preferred.
How do I get to Catbird?
Catbird is on the north end of the RiNo Arts District. Our address is 3770 Walnut st. Denver, CO 80205
Light Rail: Catbird is a 3 minute walk from the 38th & Blake light rail station. You can take this line from Denver International Airport all the way to Union Station.
THROUGHOUT THE MONTH OF AUGUST, ALL RTD SERVICES ARE COMPLIMENTARY, INCLUDING TRAINS TO THE AIRPORT
From Denver International Airport / I-70 East: In addition to the light rail. Drivers can take Peña st to I-70 West bound. Get off at Brighton blvd and head south. Head east on 38th st. Catbird is on the corner of 38th st & Walnut st.
From I-25: Exit I-25 on Washington st. Make a right (south/east) onto 38th st. Catbird is about a mile down at the corner of 38th & Walnut st.
From I-70 west: Take the exit to merge onto I-25 south. Exit at Washington st. Head right (south/east) on 38th st. Catbird is 1 mile down at the corner of 38th & Walnut st.
Our front drive is accessible by entering on Walnut st. Guests may use the front drive to unload / load luggage. Unattended vehicles must be checked in with valet.
What are Catbird's Environmental Sustainability offerings?
- Plates, dishware, and Tupperware in all guestrooms, contributing to less to go containers being consumed.
- Housekeeping services are limited to once a week, providing water and energy savings.
- Bulk amenities included to save on plastics and waste.
- HVAC units are and outdoor heaters run on natural gas, rather than electric.
- Heavy recycling focus property wide, recycle stations are located on all floors, including The Red Barber.
- ReRoot program encourages guests to recycle their plants rather than tossing them at their location, and plants are distributed throughout the property and in guestrooms.
- Green roof initiative in place on rooftop restaurant and bar, and activation space.
- Eco-disposable cutlery and containers used in Catbird Marketplace.
- Self-service kiosks located in the lobby allow guests to check in, following easy prompts. As soon as a reservation is claimed, the guestroom will begin its eco-friendly protocols, such as adjusting the temperature and turning on in-room lights.
- Guestrooms are equipped with a temperature scan – if no one is detected in-room, the lights will shut off.
- Each floor features still and sparkling water dispensers.
- Guestrooms feature reusable Baggu shopping bags for guests to use throughout their stay.
